Kool Nerd Connect is a career readiness company that introduces and connects students to future workforce possibilities. Today, employers confront the growing challenge of recruiting skilled employees, especially individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
At Kool Nerd Connect we address this problem by reaching middle and high school school students as they are beginning to think about their careers.
OUR HISTORY
In February 2016, Kool Nerd Connect launched as a speaking engagement company for students in schools. After realizing students needed more than just motivational speeches to think about their future, Kool Nerd Connect decided to shake things up a bit.
Today, we offer virtual courses that integrate technology with data about in-demand careers taught by diverse, industry professionals. Our hope is to connect students with professionals who “look” and “speak” like them to inspire who and what they can become when they grow up.
OUR APPROACH
The A.C.E.D. model expands students’ awareness of high-demand careers, strengthens their connection to employers, increases their employability in the marketplace, and makes them contributors to a diverse workforce.
